This P-Day flew by today, just like our week, so I'm going to have to make this email short and sweet, but that's probably better anyway. First things first, we baptized Valderes and Pedro! They're both studmuffins and it was pretty great how we were after to find, teach, and baptize the two of them.  I think I said this in my email prior, but Valderes truly is an elect of the Lord; he had been looking into the Church for years and felt this past Sunday that he wanted us to stop by his house to share a lesson with him. We told him about the sacrament meeting at 4 pm and he said that he'd go. He went, we shared a message with him afterward, and he accepted a baptismal date for this past Saturday. We taught him every day in the chapel this past week (something that I haven't done since we taught Christ in Lehi, UT... yeah, the first and second week of my time here in the mission field) and it was truly an incredibly spiritual experience. He came into the lessons alrea...

Hey y'all, An exciting and eventful week here in the Brazil Teresina Mission in the area of the Taquari, Uruguai, and Cidade Leste Wards. This week was chalk full of miracles and changes, so I'll try to talk about all of that as quickly as I can. MIRACLE TIME!!! Actually basically everything I will talk about was pretty miraculous, so I'll get to it quickly: Do you all remember Antônio? The guy that we tried to baptize 3 or 4 weeks ago but wasn't quite prepared? Well thanks to all of your thoughts and prayers he was finally able to enter the waters of baptism on Saturday and cleanse himself of all of his past transgressions! It was such an incredible, spiritual, meeting. There were quite a few people who were able to make it (including all of his children this time) and after the ordnance was performed, he said a prayer in the baptismal font after calling all of his kids to walk up and join with him. It was pretty darn incredible because he was usually very timid when i...

Another week in the books here in the "East Zone" (Zona Leste) of Teresina, Brazil! This week, as always, I will start with the highlight of our week: the folks we were able to help be baptized! This week we were able to help two more folks enter the waters of baptism, and like I said in my last email, they were both baptized by one of their family members! Antônia was baptized by her grandson who she raised (and who was baptized last April). That was a pretty special baptismal service because we asked the bishop's wife to share a message about baptism and it turns out that she had a very similar conversion story; her son was baptized, she came to visit a while later, felt the Spirit from the moment she first visited, and after a few weeks decided to be baptized too! She had a wonderful experience and told us how much she loved it all afterward. So so grateful to have played a part in that. Matheus was baptized yesterday as well! We were talking to a friend of ours, Cecil...

Good morning all y'all, Well, we're still out here preaching, teaching, walking, and burning here in this Teresina summer sun, but the Celestial kingdom has the glory of the sun, so if I want to make it there I guess I ought to get used to it now. It was a good week of work here. We were able to find some pretty incredible people in the beginning of the week and will be helping them prepare to be baptized this coming Sunday. We were at a lunch conversing with the members that had prepared it for us when one young woman talked about a friend that she had that had not been going to church for a few years. We asked if we could meet him and she set up an appointment for us later that day. We went there with her, met this guy (his name's Roni and he's a stud), and also met his two younger brothers: Nadson and Mateus. Long story short, we shared a message with them, they want to be baptized now, and we're going to help Roni be ordained a priest so that he can do it himsel...
