Hello once again friends and family! Hope this past week was a good one for y'all! It sure was here in lil ol Itapecuru-Mirim do Maranhão! While it was a week without anybody making baptismal covenants, it was one in which those of the temple were made; Conceição - a member of over twenty years who had been baptized upon moving to São Paulo but had lost contact with the Church after moving back here - participated in the iniciatory and endowment in the Belém do Pará temple (which you may have heard was recently dedicated around a month ago).  Christmas Day she had come up to me when we ate lunch in her home and really opened up to me about her past. I explained how these ordinances could bless her life and helped her prepare for the caravan last Tuesday. While at first nervous and unsure, she sent dozens of messages during this past week relating how much she was loving the experience of participating in the ordinances of and being in the temple. "Oh Shoot, You Good?" -Elder Green

Hey all! How's it going? How's life? Are you staying safe during these Brazilian Capitol riots (hardy har har). Turns out that Élder Lucas and Élder Packer had to leave Itapecuru, so that means that my comp and I will be taking over for the next couple of weeks until a couple more missionaries come in to take their place. Unfortunately we were unable to baptize anybody, but we still had some pretty incredible miracles happen this week! Elders Packer and Lucas baptized a couple of really mature and prepared teenagers whose families are now also being very receptive to our message! In a city called São José de Ribamar, I did a division in which I and the only other Wyomingite in the mission, Élder Hamm, got authorization to hold the first sacrament meeting in that city. While he and his companion taught, I went with Elder Green to a college where we asked to use their auditorium for the meeting.
