"Oh Shoot, You Good?" -Elder Green
Hey all!
How's it going? How's life? Are you staying safe during these Brazilian Capitol riots (hardy har har).
Turns out that Élder Lucas and Élder Packer had to leave Itapecuru, so that means that my comp and I will be taking over for the next couple of weeks until a couple more missionaries come in to take their place.
Unfortunately we were unable to baptize anybody, but we still had some pretty incredible miracles happen this week!
Elders Packer and Lucas baptized a couple of really mature and prepared teenagers whose families are now also being very receptive to our message!
In a city called São José de Ribamar, I did a division in which I and the only other Wyomingite in the mission, Élder Hamm, got authorization to hold the first sacrament meeting in that city. While he and his companion taught, I went with Elder Green to a college where we asked to use their auditorium for the meeting. While I was here on Sunday, it appears that that sacrament meeting went very well! They had several recent converts, less active folks, and many investigators come to participate! I was so stoked for them!
This week, we have some folks preparing to go to the temple in Belem! 4 of them, to be exact! It will truly be an historic moment for this little group!
Please keep praying for us, for this city, and for the folks who live in it! We are so hoping to get a branch established just as fast as humanly possible, but it won't be enough without a lot of help from the Lord.
Once again, emails are always appreciated, read, and loved (even if not always responded to).
Love y'all and take care,
Élder Lindsay
