"Santidade Ao Senhor. A Casa Do Senhor"

Good week! Quicker one as well!

First off: baptisms!

Elinete and her daughter Estrela (actually her granddaughter that she is raising) enjoyed the baptism of their relatives Josélio, Marilene, and Vinicius so much and felt the Spirit so strong that they decided they also wanted to be part of the Lord's Restored Church! They were baptized Saturday afternoon after watching the first session of General Conference Saturday afternoon (at least the first session was during the afternoon here).

Fátima, Hirlanildo's mother, also decided to be baptized after months of thinking!

General Conference was INCREDIBLE! TERESINA IS GETTING A TEMPLE! It will be so incredible for the folks down here to have a House of the Lord so closeby. To many, getting to the temple was a near-impossible dream, and that dream will soon become a reality. Many of the members here also got excited as I had been saying I would come back to visit Brazil once a temple was dedicated in Teresina. Looks like that will be sooner than expected!

Over 65 people came out to the "Church" here to watch the transmission we did even though they technically could have watched at home. The faith of these folks is growing, and we are getting closer every day to having a branch and a real chapel here in the city!

This week I will be traveling for conferences and counsels until Thursday, so that ought to make this Holy Week quick and interesting!

Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!

Sincerely,
Élder Lindsay

He is risen! He is risen!
Tell it out with joyful voice.
He has burst his three days’ prison;
Let the whole wide earth rejoice.
Death is conquered; man is free.
Christ has won the victory.

Come with high and holy hymning;
Chant our Lord’s triumphant lay.
Not one darksome cloud is dimming
Yonder glorious morning ray,
Breaking o’er the purple east,
Symbol of our Easter feast.

He is risen! He is risen!
He hath opened heaven’s gate.
We are free from sin’s dark prison,
Risen to a holier state.
And a brighter Easter beam
On our longing eyes shall stream
