Lion + Tiger = Liger

Hello all,

What another good, solid, quick, week! Got to see someone miracles and won't be able to do them much justice in the short email I'm about about write.

We were able to help help folks be baptized this past week: Eduardo and Thâmily.

Eduardo we had met while walking down the street. We felt like we needed to invite him to church the next day. We accepted, we went, we shared a lesson with him last week, and he accepted a baptismal date for yesterday! He's excited to keep progressing and we're excited for him!

Thâmily is the aunt of Joelison, the rapaz we baptized a couple of months back. While doing divisions she became friends with our ZL because of their shared love of anime, so he was able to video call us and participate in the baptismal service!

Eduardo is a TikTok fan, so I decided to throw one of the videos he made of us down below.

I've also decided to cook a little bit more, so I made some cabbage rolls and chocolate chip cookies last P-Day (thanks mom for reading recipes). 

Did some virtual tours of the visitors center over in São Paulo with the folks we baptized yesterday!

I'm now Elder Eggett's LD (and he's my LZ, so that just means that we both get to get on each other's cases multiple times a week.

Unfortunately we only had 11 people in our sacrament meeting yesterday due to a stomach bug and COVID spike that have been going through the city. Please keep that "40" number in your prayers as we keep trekking along down here!

Sure love you all! Sure appreciate all of your thoughts, prayers, and emails. Know that even if I don't respond, I think about all of you and keep you all in my prayers!

I shared this scripture just because this week I've come to realize that when we're happy, God's happy. That's His purpose and His ultimate desire: our eternal joy. What's Satan's ultimate desire? For us to be just as miserable as he is.

Don't let Satan win! Turn that frown upside-down and smile that frown away!

Olá pessoal, ***Here's the real one*** What a quick, exciting, week! Like always, I will start off with the highlight. Only this week it was highlights with an "s"! We had another baptism! Rachael! She was baptized just last night and confirmed with the gift of the Holy Ghost. She has such a sweet testimony and has a way of praying that is so humble and personal. I was so very excited for her! Good morning everybody, Well, I'm going to have to start off this email in the most cliché way possible; I cannot believe, at all, that I am writing my last ever mission e-mail. The time truly has gone by so quickly. But in the spirit of all of my previous emails that I have written, I guess I must start off with this week's highlights. Brace yourselves... there are a lot of them: First of all, like always, I have to talk about baptism. Suellyn was baptized yesterday and is the newest member of the Church and its Relief Society here in the city. Her brother and sister, Ítalo and Magdalena, were baptized last week, and the Spirit ended up showing her that what we had been sharing was true. She rarely stayed in the room while we taught, but she heard everything. We invited her to say a prayer. She did it, and she got an answer. As the Lord had done His part, she went ahead and did hers. OHHH... We're Half Way There!

Olá Irmãos e Irmãs, You might have already guessed since I went ahead and put it in the subject, but I have officially passed the halfway mark for my time in at-home MTC!  **There are a couple of things I feel I should address before I continue: 1) No, I was not breaking mission rules and listening to Bon Jovi before writing this email (the song's title is "Livin' on a  Prayer ," so I think we'd be good anyway) and 2) I'm not by any means saying I'm ready to be done with my MTC experience because it has been great and I've been able to meet some incredible people. I'm just saying I'm excited to get into the field and serve!** Not only that, but my official travel itinerary was sent to me during the week!
