Gotta Love Me Some Zone Conference

Happy (late) Mother's Day to all the moms out there,

Another good week! Another quick one, too.

Highlight of the week: we were able to baptize somebody else!

This week we were able to help Joelison be baptized and start making covenants with God! He's 15 years old and was - like the other folks we've met and baptized down here - totally excited about baptism. As for now, the rest of his family didn't feel prepared for baptism but were totally supportive of him and his decision. His mother had been praying for direction for her life and the lives of her children and said that she felt our appearance was an answer to this prayer! How incredible it is that I was able to play a role in this answer.

We did some more traveling this week by heading over to São Bernardo for divisões at the beginning of the week and heading over to Parnaiba yesterday for Zone Conference that happened earlier today.

Once again, Zone Conference was pretty darn great. Every Zone Conference I understand more that President Lindsey is an inspired man truly called of God to be here leading me and the rest of the missionaries here. It is pretty darn incredible to see how I can go into Zone Conference with questions and have all of them answered.

Just want to express once again the love and appreciation I have for every one of you! Thank you for reading, writing, and praying. I can't express how how it means!

We continue the 2-year race walk and are still trying to find those that the Lord has prepared. We will keep up the hard work and continue praying to find those that are ready to receive us!

Other highlight: had somebody ask me what part of Brazil I'm from, so that was a little confidence booster.

Olá pessoal, ***Here's the real one*** What a quick, exciting, week! Like always, I will start off with the highlight. Only this week it was highlights with an "s"! We had another baptism! Rachael! She was baptized just last night and confirmed with the gift of the Holy Ghost. She has such a sweet testimony and has a way of praying that is so humble and personal. I was so very excited for her! Another highlight: General Conference! What an incredible opportunity we have every 6 months to listen to the words of the Lord's prophet, apostles, and other leaders of His Restored Church about topics that are so different yet all focused on Him. "You Ran To The End" -Sister Lindsey

Good morning everybody, Well, I'm going to have to start off this email in the most cliché way possible; I cannot believe, at all, that I am writing my last ever mission e-mail. The time truly has gone by so quickly. But in the spirit of all of my previous emails that I have written, I guess I must start off with this week's highlights. Brace yourselves... there are a lot of them: First of all, like always, I have to talk about baptism. Suellyn was baptized yesterday and is the newest member of the Church and its Relief Society here in the city. Her brother and sister, Ítalo and Magdalena, were baptized last week, and the Spirit ended up showing her that what we had been sharing was true. She rarely stayed in the room while we taught, but she heard everything. We invited her to say a prayer. She did it, and she got an answer. As the Lord had done His part, she went ahead and did hers. OHHH... We're Half Way There!

Olá Irmãos e Irmãs, You might have already guessed since I went ahead and put it in the subject, but I have officially passed the halfway mark for my time in at-home MTC!  **There are a couple of things I feel I should address before I continue: 1) No, I was not breaking mission rules and listening to Bon Jovi before writing this email (the song's title is "Livin' on a  Prayer ," so I think we'd be good anyway) and 2) I'm not by any means saying I'm ready to be done with my MTC experience because it has been great and I've been able to meet some incredible people. I'm just saying I'm excited to get into the field and serve!** Not only that, but my official travel itinerary was sent to me during the week!
