THE... That's The Teresina Airport Code

Hey everyone,

I'm going to make this one short as I don't have a ton of time, but I wanted to let you guys know that I'm still alive and working hard!

The highlight of the week: we baptized Wanderson! We were able to baptize the rest of his family the first Sunday I was in Brazil and it was so incredible to see him make the same decision as the rest of his family!

Everybody's conversion to Jesus Christ is different, and for some it doesn't happen at as quick of a pace. For Wanderson, it took just a tad longer, but with the same result. It's like the parable of the workers in the vineyard. While the different workers started at different points in the day, the promised wage was the same for all once the day closed (Matthew 20).

Exchanges, or divisões here in Brazil, happen a bit different than they do in the US (or most other missions, that is). Because of the great distance between areas in a mission as remote and big as the Brasil Teresina, a companionship will take the bus to another area, trade companions with the other companionship, and spend the day in the same area. On Tuesday, we did divisões with Elders S. Portela and Lucas (yep, my MTC companion). We wrapped up the night with Brazilian pizza and the purer, better-tasting, Brazilian Coca-Cola.

One more awesome milestone: I hit 6 months this past week! For Elder Azevedo, it was his 1 year. It's crazy how quick the past months have been and how much life has changed since July. From Wyoming to Utah to Brazil, going place-to-place learning and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ has been the most challenging and rewarding experience of my life. I've still got a lot to learn, but I know I've got a lot of support back home and from my Father in Heaven!

Love you all! Thanks to all who have sent emails! I am trying to be better about responding to them all, but things are always moving down here. Just know that I read them ALL and every one is very much appreciated!

Until next week,
Élder Lindsay
