"It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas" -Everyone Every Time The First Snow Falls

How's it going everyone,

Once again, another week that just seemed to fly by.

After doing P-Day activities as a district, which included an exciting day of ping-pong and McDonald's, Elder Sterling and I went over to share a Light the World Christmas message with a man named Soar.

When we set up the message with him the week before, he was really kind to us and more than willing to meet, but he just seemed a little uneasy. We thought he might not actually want to meet but was just too nice to say no.

We knocked on his door last Monday and he was happy to see us! He let us in, had us sit down, and we started talking about mountain biking, backpacking (woohoo), and dogs.

He stopped us and asked, "Can I just say something?"

"Of course!" we both responded.

"It's really weird that you guys knocked on my door when you did."

He went on to tell us he had grown up a member of the Church, went on a mission, developed some bad habits afterward, and turned away for a decade or so. His cousin was looking for something more in life, and during this time two Sister missionaries knocked on Soar's apartment door on the other side of town. Soar soonafterward introduced his cousin to the Church, started going back, and baptized him four months ago!

He said he had been falling into the same old habits when we showed up, and that it had to be a sign from God that he knows, loves, and has expectations for him since we came to his door.

That was pretty incredible to be part of.

Besides that, Elder Sterling and I have been teaching two incredible people, one who will be baptized in the next couple of weeks and the other that wants to follow suit not long after!

The joy that I've been able to see from those choosing to follow the example of Jesus Christ has been nothing short of incredible. He truly was the one and only perfect example of who we ought to strive to be, and if we follow it, we become the best versions of ourselves that we could possibly imagine.

"[T]here is no other way or means whereby man can be saved, only in and through Christ. Behold, he is the life and the light of the world. Behold, he is the word of truth and righteousness."

I love reading your emails every week! You are all amazing and I hope you have another great week! Before I know it, I'll be writing another one of these, so stay tuned!

Até mais,
Elder Lindsay

P.S. That first picture shows my intertube sticking out of my bike tire after trying to ride it my first day out in the snow.
