And As Soon As It Came, It Was Gone...

Hello everybody,

Hope this past week was a good one for you! I especially hope you all had a great Christmas!

Things down here in Orem continue to go by very quickly, especially this past week.

The highlight of the week was, without a doubt, Christmas day. I opened presents along with my family over Facebook Messenger, had a quick, one-hour combined district council meeting, and spent the rest of the day relaxing. We were blessed enough to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the homes of two different families on Christmas, something that I was incredibly fortunate to have and grateful for.

The Orem, Cherry Hill, and La Montaña Zones all took part in a special Christmas Zone Conference on Wednesday. It was a very spiritually uplifting morning, full of trainings and talks, followed by a fun afternoon of every district in the 3 zones performing during a talent show.

While the fun and games were just that, the best part about this past week (this past month, really) has been the unique opportunity I have had to think about and celebrate the birth and life of Jesus Christ while serving as one of His representatives.

He truly is the reason for the season, and I know a focus on Him provides incredible direction, comfort, stability, and peace that does not need to be unique to this time of the year.

I know this was another shorter one, but the weeks down here in Orem really do fly by. I'm not sure, however, if these next 2.5 weeks will feel the same as I prepare to make my way down to Brazil. I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

I appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers and will continue to keep you all in my own! I love receiving your emails and appreciate every single one of them. I appreciate every single one of YOU!

Love you all so much! I'll talk to you again next year!

"And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it."

Mosiah 2:41

Elder Lindsay
